Why call this blog "Adventures in TYPO3?" Well, because often that is what it feels like, an adventure. An adventure that can literally take you around the world everyday. I think there is something cool about some hardworking programmer in Berlin or Latvia or Quebec taking time out of their crazy day to answer my typoscript question on an English mailing list. For free. And I like doing the same for someone in Vancouver, Paris or Los Angeles.
Of course, calling my experiences in TYPO3 "adventures" can be just be another way of saying it can be challenging. But I like challenges as long as they have a good payoff. In the case of TYPO3 the payoff is worth the effort. That is not to say the effort is over, I have much to learn and many TYPO3 paths to travel, but I am continuing the journey.
My intention in this blog is to ramble about the process and in doing so I hope to provide some help, perspective and maybe even humor to others on their own TYPO3 adventure. I will talk about people I have connected with, resources I have found, give typoscript examples and recommend extensions.
